Saturday, May 4th, 2013
On Saturday, May 4, 2013 teams will gather for a morning of maritime creativity and fun, in support of the Ocean Institute’s Tall Ship Preservation and Maintenance Fund.
Using provided materials, watercrafts of all designs will take shape with teams building from scratch a boat to race in the harbor later that day for much coveted bragging rights and a Build-A-Boat Challenge trophy.
At eight bells (noon for you landlubbers) construction comes to a halt and anticipation builds as the teams prepare to navigate their designs in head-to-head competition.
Come join us to participate on a team or to cheer on your favorite design. Participants will be treated to lunch provided by Savannah Chop House, event t-shirts, live music, and a pirate or two!
