What a great inspiration Wyland is. Not only was the evening fun and entertaining but so informative! I was so suprised to learn about all his humanitarian involvements with children. Lets have more of Wyland in the future - all my friends and neighbors want to come. Thanks for giving our community this wonderful experience. Hildegard

My wife and I completely enjoyed the Evening with Wyland. What a great opportunity to get to know such a popular artist as Wyland, in what felt like an intimate atmosphere. Looking forward to the next event.

Joyous kudos to the Ocean Institute for bringing Wyland to us!
We were entranced and totally enchanted with Wyland. You have out done yourselves to provide that evening.
The afternoon before the appearance by Wyland, many of us were out by the jetty just watching the tide come in and loving the fresh air and sea breezes. Much to our pleasure, a big pod of Pacific Dolphins were seen feeding and cavorting not far off shore for almost 45 minutes! What a prelude to Wyland!!!
The evening was magical, entertaining, educational, and just plain FUN!!! Wyland was just as relaxed as if we all were sitting around a family room listening to his wondrous experiences and accomplishments.
We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us that totally memorable day and evening!
You can rest assured, that Michael and I will continue our membership with the OI as long as we live.
Thank you for "being there" to help educate and inform our children with the earth, the sea, and our planet and what it all means to us now and in the future.
We look forward to many more visits to the OI and hope to be able to participate in the activities as much as we are able.

I would just like to say what a great time I had at the Wyland event.The close encounter with this enthusiastic and sincere artist was truely inspiring.I also thougth the format with Dan as moderator was entertaining and at times very funny ,both Wyland and Dan were having a good time and the audience responded with laughs and applause.Great time for us all.See you at the next one . Doug

Thoroughly enjoyed the evening with Wyland. What a great opportunity to meet the artist, come to understand the motivations behind his many and varied projects, and observe him at work (or should I say, "Having Fun") in the video/slide presentation. I left with a much greater respect and awe for the sea world and its inhabitants, and became inspired to play a greater role in its protection. Looking forward to your next "Artist by the Sea" program. Jane

Thank you for the exciting evening with Wyland! It was so good to be able to hear first-hand how he strives to raise awareness for our oceans and inhabitants through his art projects all over the world! Wyland's message is uplifting and filled with inspiration for young artists. He engages people of all ages to be part of the outcome through art expression and environmental awareness. And the photographs that fill his new book are breathtakingly beautiful! Hurrah to the Ocean Institute! What a refreshing and positive means to learn more about our oceans!!! I hope you bring many more events such as this to our community. -Liz

My husband and I loved the lecture with Wyland. When is the next one? Thank you for providing members with this once in a lifetime opportunity. We purchased two books and meeting Wyland was inspiring. Thank you, thank you!
