It was a wonderful event. The whale watching trip was mesmorising, and the interview was very informative and interesting. I love the clip of the whale-riders cutting the netting off the whale's tale as they road along with it. One suggestion is to have people submit their questions in writing. The questions could then be previewed so that the duplicate questions, or information that was covered during the interview was not revisited. Overall a successful event with standing room only. Bravo.

Dear Bentley, Thank you so much for the opportunity of a delightful and informative evening. The information presented was interesting and I liked the format of two people in a diologue. The discussion about whales was especially interesting after our successful whale watching trip. My only suggestions, in an effort to be helpful, would be that the microphone was too loud and the evening was about one-half hour too long. Also--strictly personal--hot tea as well for the non-coffee drinkers. Overall, it was a wonderful day. I am very grateful to you for making this possible for our group. Grace

Great Information on Blue Whales

Earl's discussion and video of Blue whales was especially informative since we had seen a Blue on the afternoon Sea Explorer trip. We were impressed with Earl's devotion to these marine animals and courage of the divers to cut the nets from the whales tail fins. Any underwater photos or video of Blue whales? Thanks to the Institute for their Artist by the Sea program. Well done.

We had heard that the Ocean Institute held programs for school children, but weren't aware until recently that they also host programs for adults, like the Artist by the Sea series. What a great event! Earl's work in filming wildlife is remarkable not to mention his ongoing work with marine mammal rescue. I hope he will come back to the Ocean Institute for another evening to show more of his work.

What an inspiration! I knew Earl Richmond captured some amazing pictures but learning about his involvement in animal rescue and in the promotion of environmental awareness was even more impressive.

We need as much information as possible about protecting our beautiful seas and the creatures that live in them. The spectacular photography and personal stories are a great step in that direction.

We did not know what to expect. We really enjoyed the lecture and the film. It was an amazing lecture! We were able to also experience the Ocean Institute. It will be a place that we return to. We were unaware of the Institute and their programs.
There was a slight issue with checking in, my name was not on the list. There was no record of the purchase. I did have my receipt and they just added my name to the list. This could have presented a problem, for the lecture was overly full and there were not enough chairs for all the people.
